Why Semi-Private Training Beats Crowded Gyms in Baton Rouge
Two to six people in the room, a trainer on every set, and a program written for you. Here's why semi-private training is the sweet spot.
There are two ends of the spectrum in Baton Rouge: a $30-a-month gym where you're on your own, and a $100-an-hour 1-on-1 trainer that most people can't afford more than once a week. Semi-private training sits right in the middle — and for most people, it's the better option.
Semi-private means two to six people training at the same time, each on their own program, with a coach on the floor watching every set. You get the coaching — form corrections, weight bumps, movement swaps — without paying 1-on-1 rates for every hour.
The other thing you get is accountability. When a trainer knows your name and notices you didn't show up Tuesday, that text message matters. A crowded gym doesn't know you exist. A semi-private studio does.
If you've been training alone and stalling, or paying for a gym you never use, semi-private is usually the fix. Book a starter session, train once, and see how it feels before you decide.
